Join Australian maker and stitcher Amy Tedge of From The Shop Floor for a special one-day, six-hour workshop at French General. Traveling all the way from Australia, Amy will guide you through the making of her charming handsewn Butterfly Pouch—a beautiful little project that celebrates the quiet pleasure of slow stitching.

Working with a mix of antique linen, French General fabrics, and treasured antique textiles, you’ll learn Amy’s techniques for creating this sweet, beautifully finished pouch. The workshop is designed to be relaxed and hands-on, with plenty of time to stitch, learn, and enjoy the company of fellow makers.

Lunch and afternoon tea will be served during the workshop, giving everyone a chance to pause, gather around the table, and enjoy good food and conversation between stitches. It’s all part of the French General experience—a relaxed and convivial day of handwork, beautiful textiles, and time spent together.

Amy’s thoughtful approach and love of vintage textiles make this a wonderful opportunity to spend a day stitching something special while learning directly from the designer herself.
