Hemp Tablecovers / Set of Two / RA 8 Monogram

Two early French hemp table covers or towels found at the Albi Brocante. The creamy soft hemp has a very faded blue woven stripe on either side of the towel - as well as a RA 8 red embroidered monogram.

These towels are not in perfect shape - but they are very useable - with just a few age marks and repairs here and there. They could use a good washing, line drying and pressing. Or - cut up the towels and reuse the fabric in a stitching project.
