Antique Red Floral French Boutis

This whole cloth French boutis is a wonderful heavy quilt made with a red and brown floral on one side and a red and black stripe on the back. Filled with a heavy cotton batting for warmth, this quilt is completely hand-sewn and quilted.  There is a small marking of blue (ink?) on the front of the quilt - this might wash out with a good soak. There are a couple of fabric tears on the front of the quilt which could easily be patched over with some cotton fabric.  The small tears on the front expose the cotton batting - this quilt was made to keep someone warm! There is no binding on this quilt - which is typical for French boutis.
