Antique French Tambour Lace Panels / Set of 8

An amazing collection of early lace panels all from one old house in France. These pieces were used for different purposes in the house. Five pieces are small panels - probably used as dresser cloths or piano scarfs. Two pieces are curtain panels that match and one piece is a curtain panel on its own. 

These are all early and in delicate condition - some age marks throughout and small holes here and there - not in perfect condition - but they are a stunning example of early French tambour embroidery with a cotton tulle base. All could use a very gentle soak in a bucket and then dry flat on a towel.

Panels 1-3: 17" x 18" (2 small holes in one panel)

Panels 4-5: 20" x 18"

Panels 6 -7: 21" x 33" (small holes in cotton and one small hole in lace, larger tear in one area of lace)

Panel 8" 24" x 30" (small holes and age marks/spotting on cotton)
