Antique Temperance Quilt

This antique Temperance Quilt was created during the temperance movement in the 19th century. The "T" stood for temperance and was a way for women, deeply involved in the movement, to express their beliefs and support anti-alcohol movements. 

This very thin quilt is all hand-pieced and machine-quilted using a mix of brown and cream fabrics with pink sashing. There is some color damage from age and a few marks on front and back.
