Bringing the classic look of the rural French countryside to the United States, French General is a vintage craft store/workshop located in Los Angeles, California. Specializing in beads, buttons, millinery and textiles, our French-inspired collection is all about crafting with beautiful textiles and a simple vintage color palette. Each summer, for the past seven years, French General has led groups of women to the South of France to live in an 18th century chateau - deep in the countryside of France, surrounded by sunflower fields. Days are spent crafting in the studio, visiting flea and farmer's markets and dying with woad, as well as a cooking class with our chef and a visit from the local sommelier to teach us all about wine and cheese.
