Hand-Stitched Owl with Ann Wood / Saturday and Sunday, October 20th and 21st / 10-4pm
Ann Wood returns to French General in October for a two-day workshop making hand-stitched owls.
Come make owls with me, dastardly creatures with somber expressions. I’ll guide you through the process of sewing, stuffing and sculpting the basic shape, creating layers of feathery textures, making talons and giving your creature an attitude, expression and body language that imply a history, a point of view, a world of its own. We’ll be working with vintage and antique textiles as well as hand dyed linens in a variety of owly shades.
Basic sewing skills are needed, we will be stitching by hand and machine.
All materials and tools are provided for this workshop.
Cafe, lunch and apertifs will be served.
