Antique French Chemise #4

A very old linen chemise from the late 20th century. 

This chemise is a size medium

17" shoulders with medium cap sleeves

MOP buttons

Embroidered white monogram: JC

This chemise has some small rust stains in front, which could be covered with small linen patches.

I found all of these shirts in France - they are all from one house and probably used as undershirts by the staff.  Many have small mends, or repairs and would be perfect for slow mending.  Mostly they are in good condition, unless otherwise noted. They have been washed and are a beautiful example of 19th century French cloth.

I wear my chemise in the summer months in France - and there is nothing better than feeling old cotton, linen or hemp on your skin!
