Antique French Silk Panel

This stunning French, unfinished silk wall hanging has been meticulously hand stitched with silk threads. The whole scene, which includes two ladies in the garden with dogs and sheep and a beautiful old house, is carefully hand drawn on silk. The faces and hands of both ladies are hand-painted. This would be beautiful framed as is. There are some tiny holes and a bit of age marks and discoloring. The two sides each have a cotton tape with handmade button holes - which was probably used to keep the panel on the working frame.
