Anatomical Embroidery / Saturday, October 27th / 10-1pm

$ 110.00

Perfect your hand embroidery as we embellish beautifully macabre imagery sourced from 19th Century French anatomical teaching charts and botanical illustrations and custom printed on linen cotton canvas.  Select your choice from one of five original designs (heart, hand, skull, rib cage and ear) on the day of the workshop.  Perfectly suited for both beginners as well as more advanced students – instruction will cover solid core basics to more intricate embroidery stitches.  All materials (custom sampler, embroidery floss, hoops and needles!) along with instructional diagrams are provided and included in the cost of the class.  Coffee and pastries will be served.

You’ll receive one anatomical embroidery sampler as part of your workshop enrollment, however, additional designs will be available for purchase.

What to do once you’ve completed your anatomical embroidery at home? This free-form sampler features wide margins making is easy to hem the edges for a wall hanging or incorporate the panel into a pillow or larger quilted project!  We’ll discuss a world of options in this workshop.
