Join us for an early spring weekend in Vermont! Our Sugar House Retreat will feature a weekend filled with cozy fireplace warmth, maple syrup treats and friends near and dear - including a visit to one of Vermont's Sugarhouse's as well as crafting with Ann Wood and Kaari Meng of French General. Delicious meals and hosting by Meleen Dupre of Warm Brook Barn.
Ann will be teaching her Hand-Stitched Songbird - or Cardinal - if you prefer! Ann will guide you through the process of sewing, stuffing and sculpting the basic shape, creating natural looking layers of feathery textures, embroidering features, carving beaks, sculpting feet and giving your creation spirit and “birdness”. She will also share some of her favorite supplies, top secret tips and techniques and some treasures from her collection of antique textiles. Ann will also teach her Botanical Textile Necklace filled with Spring flowers and buds.
