Swaddled Baby with Mimi Kirchner / Saturday and Sunday March 3rd and 4th / 10-3pm
In this class, we will make a swaddled baby wool pillow doll. The finished doll is approximately 12” tall, just a little bit smaller than a real newborn.
Students will learn basic needle-sculpting to add dimension to the baby’s face and raw-edge wool applique to decorate the baby “blanket”. Students should have basic embroidery skills. The class will be based on my swaddled baby pattern but everyone will be encouraged to have fun and come up with their own, unique design.
I will bring a selection of wool and cashmere and students can bring any special ribbon or wool bits that they might want to include.
This is a two-day class from 10-3pm each day.
